Previous jobs have involved working with varieties of metals, plastics, and wood. Depending on customer requirements, deliverables may be CAD files, DWG, DXF, PDF files, etc. or in some cases even paper prints. Typical software used on tasks is Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Showcase; Adobe tools including Acrobat Pro and Photoshop; MS Office products including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Powerpoint; and Snagit for screen captures as needed. Work typically involves working with a machine or fabrication shop to create parts keeping open communication with the customer and their manufacturers. Products worked on have been all over the board and have included trailers, security gates, military barriers, wire drawing, forming, and coating equipment, furniture, grain bins, shelving, material handling carts and baskets, injection molded parts, refrigeration recovery equipment, electronics packaging, cooking equipment, castings, machining fixtures, parts for musical instruments, and much more. ASME Y14 specifications have been a part of some customer requirements including Y14.5 GD&T and specific title blocks. These and other customer requirements can be built into jobs as required.
The CADMaker has had enough exposure to other companies ways of business to say that no two have been the same, but adapting those ways is our way of doing business.
