Byron Funnell is “Doing Business As” The CADMaker as a home based sole-proprietor business located north of Fort Wayne, Indiana serving the surrounding area with CAD design, drawing, modeling, and engineering to small and mid sized businesses. Byron is a mechanical engineer having graduated from Purdue University. At it’s inception, The CADMaker started as a training and customization business based around Autodesk’s AutoCAD software. Customer needs tailored the changes to more design and documentation services. As CAD software grew in its abilities the focus of the business transitioned into more 3D modeling in Autodesk’s Mechanical Desktop allowing parametric design and changes to customer products reducing the design time increasing design awareness giving customers quicker times to profits with less overhead and pre-release revision cycles. As things continued to change Mechanical Desktop was replaced with Autodesk’s mechanical design flagship, Inventor.
